Welcome to the Transportation Department!
The goal of the Transportation Department is to provide safe and efficient transportation to and from school for the students of Halifax County Schools. We operate 73 buses to and from school each day traveling over 4,953 miles daily. We are dedicated to providing professional support services to our students, parents, schools, and staff. Transportation services play a vital role in the education of students. We believe in order to educate our students we must first get them to school. It is our responsibility to provide safe transportation to all students of Halifax County Schools.
Bus routing is completed utilizing a standardized, comprehensive computer-assisted school bus routing and scheduling software. The TIMS Operator maintains student, transportation and street network data for Halifax County Schools.
