Welcome to an exciting school year in 5th Grade Math & Science TigerLand. 

My name is Mrs. Palmer-Dewar. I am from the warm and beautiful island called Jamaica. I attended The Mico Teachers' University (Jamaica), where I pursued a diploma in Elementary Education with an advance in Science, a Post-Diploma in School Administration and Management and a Bachelors Degree in School Management and Leadership.

I have been teaching for the past 23 years. I live by the Motto: Every Child Can Learn, Every Child Must Learn. My goal is to continue to work in the educational system, helping to develop the minds of students that I come in contact with, to become effective problem solvers by integrating the academic and social skills necessary to achieve individual growth in the formative years.

 I believe in 21st century teaching and I afford my students with innovative technology in my math and science classrooms to foster learning. Students, I believe in you, you are important, you are listened to and YOU WILL SUCCEED. Parents, let us work together so that my students, your children will be able to strive for excellence.
