Halifax County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 2nd due to the upcoming elections, and will be an Optional Teacher Workday. Staff who do not plan on being present must use their annual leave. Please click the link below to find your election day polling place.

 

The Halifax County Board of Education will meet virtually Monday, November 8, 2021. The board will convene in an open session at 4:00 p.m. Shortly after that, the board will go into a closed session. After the closed session, the board will return to the open session for the regular business meeting. Members of the public will have access to view all public portions of the meeting at:

Halifax County Schools will host its I Matter Rally November 17-19. The I Matter Rally is a culminating activity sponsored by Halifax County Schools to increase student awareness about themselves and their community. Students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities designed to encourage positive social and emotional growth. During the I matter sessions, we aim to build self-worth and competence to promote making good choices in gang prevention, cyberbullying, and abstinence.
