I am proud of all of the great things happening in Halifax County Schools! It is hard to believe that April is already here. The last two months of school are traditionally the busiest, and I do not anticipate this year will be different. Please check our website or social media frequently for updates. We are already in the planning phase for the next school year. Additionally, we are closing the 21-22 fiscal year budget and reviewing the 22-23 school year calendar. I will begin the End of Year walkthroughs soon. The team and I have high expectations for classroom engagement, board configurations, implementation of the "I do, we do, you do" model, and overall practical usage of instructional minutes. These components are significant in ensuring that we can close the achievement gap.Spring break is around the corner. I hope that you can take the time to reflect, relax, and be with family and friends. Once we return, we will be in the home stretch, making that final push to the end of the school year while guiding students daily for them to be successful global residents. On behalf of the Board of Education, I want to thank you for your continued support and dedication to Halifax County Schools. We are better and stronger because of you! We work hard and effortlessly, making us unique as individuals and strengthening us collectively.
